cycling to honour health, life & happy healthy 2010

Well, no this is not really a fundraising ride for MS, cancer..

but aren't there times other than these fundraising rides for a particular disease research/care fund, where you are riding and feel you're cycling to honour health and life of self, loved ones and others?

Older that I get, I feel occasionally like this. Feeling just comes upon me particularily if it's a good cycling day/good weather or just plain being outdoors.

Sometimes I feel incredibly humble...that I can ride the bike in such lovely surroundings at home.

Happy New Year and wishing you health, love and wonder in 2010!

I, too, feel exactly the same way. Especially, if I feel as if my speed, distance, etc. are not up to what my goals are.
I always remember that I am out there doing more than 95% of the people around me.

I'm right there with you ladies!

There are days that I am so thankful that I have the ability to ride a bike and realize how very fortunate and blessed I am.

maybe it's the 'runner's high' of cycling. I feel the same way, something mystical about pushing yourself, challenging yourself and feeling great doing it. The feeling of leaving all stresses behind. Thank you for putting in writing what I knew was out there but couldn't explain!
