Got a shoe stuck in a spin bike - took 3 people to get it out. Yep, the screws came loose. No idea how that happened.

Well, it's off! I took my bike to the LBS, and the guy just popped it right off without even putting it back on the bike...said it was just 'leverage'. Phooie! Anyhow, he stated that what happened was exactly what I thought; the screws weren't tight enough so the cleat just moved with the pedal. Everything is back on properly with the cleats TIGHT. I also had the tension on the one pedal too high (the other one was loose where I wanted it ), so they hooked me up to one of their trainers and helped me clip on and off. Just gotta get my confidence up, and I'm all set!

They also said it happens often with new pedals, so I didn't feel completely silly. Anyways, thanks everyone for the kind thoughts...now I have a nice 'Stupidest Thing You've Ever Done' for that other thread

If that's the stupidest thing you've ever done you're doing better than good.

I just did a similar thing while skiing. I skiied all day, but when we were done I couldn't get one boot off. After some research, I realized I had caught a plastic flap in a clip and it had worked together very tight. I had to hobble to the ski shop in one boot and ask for help. They didn't even look up or grin--they must see stupid stuff a lot!
