Maybe humming it while you're riding home will lend some humor and fun to the situation!!!

You're in the DC Metro area, no? I played hookey from work today and rode this morning. Whew, haven't encountered winds like this since last April or so!! The saving grace was it helped counterbalance the humidity and warm temps. Never fear, as I think the winds are going to subside later today, bringing in some excellent weather for the holiday weekend!!

yikes be careful and ride slow! Getting ina cross wind can really blow you all over the road... we had Santa Ana conditions here this weekend and it was bad too.... really blew me around... I gave up after 9 miles and turned around for home... just not worth the risk of crashing in it!

I am actually in Roanoke VA, I sure hope the wind dies down soon, that would be nice, it's very gusty not a constant wind. I am riding to the local track to meet my buddy to run, if it is still bad I may have her give me a ride to my car!

I filled up my car today, first time since the 14th I had only driven 201 miles thanks to several days of biking to work, I still had over 1/2 a tank too! (it cost $20 for 8 gallons )

I did cheat tho, I drove b/f's truck to get groceries Friday he bought his dad's truck and I haven't driven it yet so I thought I would try it out, besides I needed horse feed and a salt block (50#) I needed a truck
