Hi all!
I just wanted to let you know that I dipped my wheel in the Atlantic ocean (east of Savannah) on Saturday afternoon, ten weeks after setting off from Astoria. It hasn't quite sunk in yet.... I'll properly update my crazyguy journal soon (once my own computer reaches me--I'm borrowing a friend's).
Thank you so much for all of your support and encouragement!
Classes start Thursday and all I wanted to do yesterday and today was ride (so I did...).

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
An extremely monumental accomplishment. You should be feeling very good about it and reward yourself accordingly!

What an accomplishment! I'd love to read about your trip. Hope you log all your miles at bikejournal.com. I am envious of your journey.

Congratulations! I hope that both your bike and the trip was everything you hoped for. I'll keep an eye out for updates on your journal. Pictures?
