I've never done one, but I've heard of them. They are basically like spin classes geared towards roadies where you bring in your own bike and trainer. I think you could still make it your own workout without it being any different than at your spin class. There are always people of different fitness levels and with different goals. I say give it a try, particularly if your trainer is collecting dust.
I'm the same way. I do much better staying active if I can get out of my house, even if it means staying indoors at a gym.

. Things at home just seem to distract me enough that riding the trainer never happens. To get my workout, I need to physically leave the house.
