The best thing about JeanneRides is her determination, strength and wonderful attitude. She's an inspiration!
The best thing about Veronica is her cookie recipes.
The best thing about 7rider is her "enabling" my decision not to return my Alaris (short lived buy's remorse)!!
The best thing about Silver is her kindness & generosity.
The best thing about Zen is once I figured her sarcasm out she makes me laugh all the time. Snap too, damn those ladies are funny!
SadieKate and Knot are the best source of knowledge on cassettes, bikes, sun protection. I have learned so much.
Veronica, MP and JoBob make me feel I can do anything as I sit in awe of their rides. I never knew how in awe I was until I drove Mt Tam!
And the best thing about everyone is the humor, insight and caring.

You don't have to be great to get started, but you do have to get started to be great. -Lee J. Colan
I don't know any of you all personally (although I met a few of you briefly.).. but I have to say, that every one of you are extremely giving of your time and always willing to help out when there are questions or concerns. It is really amazing.
You all are supportive of us no matter what level we are at, and no matter how silly our questions may seem!
THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!
Oh, and Zen, you do crack me up!
Everyone Deserves a Lifetime
Bleeker St. Girl is the funniest person I know. And, I think she speaks her mind more than I do, which is good.
Deb W. knows more about bikes than anyone I know.
Jolt is the fastest hiker I've ever met (of course, she is young enough to be my daughter).
Mr. S and Silver are two of the most grounded, well reasoned folks on the boards. They always have a kind word and a funny storyAnd Mr. S knows just when to jump into the fray 'round here, and when to stay out
MP was the first to make me believe I could have a career and do crazy things on a bike![]()
Most days in life don't stand out, But life's about those days that will...
Nice thread.
Heck, I just think you're all great in your own unique ways. I don't post as much as I used to, but I still watch the boards, and have observed how they morph, by accommodating and welcoming each new member. What stays constant, though, is the kindness and community of this place, and that's what keeps me here. When someone is in crisis, it's amazing how many people come out of the woodwork to post their encouragements.
For those I have met in person, I think you're all wonderful. Snap, Jobob, SK, MP, V, Trek, CindySue, BikeGoddess, Z, Badger (I know you as that), among others too many to list -- thanks for the good times, the things in common, and for your friendship.

I know I have not posted a whole lot. Sometimes when I come to the computer I don't know what to say to you all. Sometimes I wonder if I have a boring life. I don't want to bring my problems on to this board and make someones life not good.
Forgive me for rambling....
When I read the posts and when I post, all present have taught me a whole lot about different cycling things, ideas and good general knowledge. For this I am greatfull. I also appreaciate the caring and concern of all here on this board. This is a great community. May we all continue to be postive influences to each other.

You don't have to be great to get started, but you do have to get started to be great. -Lee J. Colan
Well, I was experimenting with how to do this. I figured everyone had enough of my face. So time for a change.
Actually this is a picture from the National Park Service of Zion National Park. This is one of the local parks just about a 45 drive from where I live here in Southern Utah.
I few years ago my husband and I rode our bikes through the canyon there for our anniversary. For the Geology nuts this is Navajo sandstone-the red rock. The white rock formation has a name, but I cannot remember it. The rock combonations around here are wonderful. In the higher elevations you get the evergreens and the combonations are to die for.
Welcome to Southwestern Utah!
