    Yoga party tricks for LBTC

    To disable ads, please log-in.

A while back LBTC asked me to describe the sequence for getting into flying crow pose. Well we finally did it again last night in yoga class and it reminded me of my promise to describe the sequence.

Well, ya gotta love the net. Here it is.

And here's a video to the hooked foot arm balance pose I was also discussing.

Thank you, Wahine! I had no idea that would start in tree pose! cool! I'll give it a try later this week.

Right now I'm still a bit shaky from the time trial.

So, now that you're a pro at peacock pose, can you do peacock in lotus position?

Hee hee hee. One time my boss came around with a whole bag of Klondike bars asking each person, "what would YOU do for a Klondike bar?" Everyone had to do some kind of trick. I did a nice yoga headstand for MY Klondike bar .

My old office was a cult. The amount of intra-office socialization (and lack of non-intra-office socialization) was a little freakish I think. But fun I guess .

Maybe, if I could do lotus.

You see, I've got lots of strength but not a lot of flexibility in my hips in some directions. No lotus for me. Closest I can get is a shabby half lotus.

Ah, I understand. For me, belly dancing class relaxes my hips and glutes enough that lotus is comfortable. It's so nice to be able to do it once a week!

well I don't know about the type of party but must say I am HUGELY impressed you gals can do that pose!
( Of course I had to try it and there is no way my legs are coming off the ground-) if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't believe it was possible by mortals and or LBTC !
And Wahine! way to go! You can do it???
I was using my disproportioned leg/vs torso length as an excuse but now....guess I will ahve to keep trying
