MP - you should see the snow at my house in Maine! The banks are up above the windows. Since I have to lift the snow over my head to get it onto the bank, I really, honestly, can't do it. At least that's what I'm telling DH .

Glad to hear so many are getting back on track! Odd though, that a few of us have come up with something else in the interim... Anyone think we might be addicted to the walking wounded title, or our PTs?

I have to admit, I'm going to miss the gang at the PT clinic - the staff and the other patients, and our running commentary on Dr. Phil. There's a real comraderie among the patients that work out in the main room.

And Shefly - that is WAY too much snow!!!

shefly - my mom lives in Topsham (I didn't grow up in Maine, but I went to Bowdoin). that's a familiar sight...

so... I went to the doctor today. he seemed really pleased with my strength and range of motion and sent me to PT. he does want me back in 6 months to see how the fracture looks. I think it is mostly curiosity on his part to see what happens. we know the bone won't go "back", but I think he wants to verify his theory about how it will fester in place.

when I asked about riding, he said I should have a couple of pt sessions, then it is fine. so in my world, since I have pt on thursday I can ride this weekend!!! yay!

    Yo...Transition Team

    Good Morning,
I went for an easy mt bike ride last night. We have some local trails behind my school. Pretty flat, but nice to be in the woods. We did about an hour, and I felt much more confident, pushed a little harder, even rode up a hill. Came back home and lifted my weights with my legs. Knock wood, no pain. At all. That could change as I am on my feet today, but for now, I will take it.

Now, if I could just fix that darn elbow.....

    help?

Umm help! ..I want to find out what exactly I should be doing while on the bike to get me back stronger.

I am rather annoyed that 4 1/2 months have passed and i'm still unable to cycle the way I want. Am I doing the right things? Should i cycle more but a smarter way?

I'd like to make a program with specific things to do each on the bike using my hammies & glutes but am unsure if i should just speak to the folks @ my pilates studio or a sports physio or hire a coach.

How long does it take for the VMO to get stronger? That's one of the things that's keeping me from being able to jump out of the saddle & pedal down from a bent position with my right knee. Hammies n glutes too are comin along.

    ARGHHHHH..Help...

I want to join a cycling skills course in April and need to be able to do hills.

    I'm not happy...
