I had myself microchipped at the last Humane Society clinic but that only works if somebody finds me

That is way cool and techno stuff even I would buy.
I've been reading about that woman in GA, then pondering how dangerous it is to live in a high crime city compared to hiking alone.
It just seems to get more attention when it happens in the woods.
