Nope, I didn't ride this morning. I actually got up at 4:30 and put my cycling clothes on. It didn't seem like it was raining, but I was waffling a bit. I was more concerned there might be debris in the road from the storm. Then I decided to make myself a leisurely breakfast of eggs and to to just take a longer ride this afternoon. I feel better, but when i drove in, it was actually raining a bit until I got to Stow. Probably better for me not to breathe in the cool damp air at this point. I should know that when I feel like I did on Tuesday, it's allergies or asthma and that I haven't suddenly lost fitness.
Looks like tomorrow and Saturday are a washout; in a way I am glad. I feel like I'm getting possessed. I will go to the gym tomorrow and maybe take a hike in the rain on Saturday. We are supposed to do a 50 mile ride to Hollis, NH Sunday and I hope that will OK. Two years ago when we did this ride, we had to call a taxi to come get my husband and friend so they could drive the cars to pick us and the bikes up because it was raining and storming like it was yesterday. I spent a long time sitting under the front entrance of the Dunstable Public Library!

only my 4th ride of the season am so far behind this year! But - did manage to do our 25 mile loop - let me complain about the 20mph wind & sore legs from weight lifting the day before! /waaa - I know, I know. Finished the ride with very sore legs, numb against the saddle, and my big toe started to fall asleep... I had serious chamois issues that I couldn't manage to solve mid-ride - hope it was just that and not the saddle.

Freaky: one small stretch on Cornelius Schefflin - moderately busy 2 lane highway(?) in farmland. A car was in the process of passing, so he was oncoming & in our lane. There is no bike lane and no shoulders, at most 2" of pavement to the right of the white line before you hit jumbo gravel. Oncoming car could not complete the manouver before he reached us, and due to the extra wind sheer it blew my DH off the road into the gravel / ditch. He managed to not get hurt, but it was a few hundred feet before I had any room to pull off the road & see that he was okay. Hate that section! I don't know if the car was in a passing zone - I was too intent on staying upright to look.
