    My SS made my day!

Toni- Thank you so much for the amazing SS package. It came in the day I had to pay nearly $700 to my old apartment, I needed a pick me up after that! I never imagined what would be in that box- it was like you know me perfectly! Thank you for not sending any UT items, the snowglobe is perfect for our study. BTW- I LOVE snowglobes. The door hanger is just the reminder I needed, my doctor would be pleased.

I have already worn the t-shirt and two pairs of the socks. I wear warm fuzzy socks every day after work, even in our hot summers. And as soon as I figure out something to cook in the pan, I will be putting it to good use as well.

The snowglobe from my alma mater...

Goodies for me and my puppies! Heidi and Maggie say thanks.

Hot chocolate and more hot chocolate! I had trouble deciding which one to take to work for this week. I think I will share the dark chocolate with DH.

The pan and a monthly reminder for my health.

Ehhhm, yep. I admit it. And the postmark was from Dragvoll. I was thinking of waiting til I drove UK Elephant to the airport, cuz then I could have mailed it from H@ll on the way, but decided to go ahead and mail it sooner.

The thermocup was actually UK's idea (inspired by the one Baby Bear gave her for Xmas) It was already sent before you posted your rant about insulated bottles not being sold in Australia. When I saw that post I sent UK a big hug for coming up with just the right idea. The balm is from the same climbing shop. The owner had recommended that UK give that as part of her gift to Baby Bear. That too we later saw might have been a lucky guess. What was the problem with your feet? Insect bites? Sunburn? Maybe the balm would work on that too.

ps Folks here in Trondheim are even more stationary than other Norwegians, very loyal to the place. Your pen pal may still be here. Want me to check the phone book?

    To My Jan Ss

I made the huge mistake of ordering from Performance. They have sent the incorect order *twice*. Yes, the managed to screw up twice!!!!

So, hopefully third time is a charm and I will be able to get your box out to you before the end of the month.

Aha, I think this might be a clue to who my Silver Spring, Maryland ss of November was/is!

    But seriously ...
Yesterday I recieved the most sweet hand-knitted hat. It is in a real dark carob brown (carob bean on-the-tree not the powder) with flecks in clay-yellow and cream. It is as if someone has spun a yarn from a carob-nut health energy bar! I could just *eat* it!
It is a perfect weight/warmth for our winter and covers the tops of my ears but not my ear-rings so a perfect size too
Going over to the wool-weenie thread now...
Btw, there was a nice cat card with it which I am hiding from my cat in case she gets ideas about wool-as-plaything.

And she also must be in touch with Regina because she put her address (California) with no name and an illegible sig on the customs declaration

THANK YOU TO MY WONDERFUL SS!!!!!

Today I was home sick from work, and what before my wandering eyes did appear??? It was not a fat man with eight tiny reindeer. Even better- my wonderful mailman with a gift from my SS!!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all the goodies!! The Iron Girl hat- LOVE IT (and I shall wear it with pride)!!! The chocolate- uh oh, ate one already. The socks- couldn't have come at a better time (now that an ice storm is on the way and my toesies are freezing in anticipation). The bath goodies already make me feel relaxed. The Burt's Bees- my FAVORITE lip balm! And finally, the book- just precious and made me smile- very inspirational (oh, and the card you wrote on DOES remind me of the beach I love so much).

Thank you for finding out about me and getting things that I truly, truly love. You're so wonderful, and you made a icky day a million times brighter!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

Now for the hard part.... who live in Grass Valley, CA???? If I don't guess soon you'll have to PM me and tell me who you are! Thank you!

Am I allowed to cry? i got home after my bike ride today and found a very heavy box. Yes from my most wonderful SS! I can not believe how much she personalized my gifts!
Where to start? First she gave me a bunch of furry mice for kitty's that was way cool and they are their favorite! How did you know? I don't even remember writting about my cats. At least not all three! She also gave me a pair of cycling wool socks,( I have one pair and really needed another). And a ear warmer thingy. Ok here is the weird thing, right before my dh and I went for our ride today I was saying to him how I needed to get one of those. Today I said this! Is that not wierd? And it has been cold here. Today's high 49 with a wind chill so it was even colder. Tonight 22. So both socks and ear warmer thingy perfect! And it doesn't stop there. Two different kinds of hot chocolate, two cliff bars, burts bee's hand salve (always handy) Vanilla chap stick (a nice big tube). And hold on the best, two bags of cadbury christmas chocolate eggs!!!!! I just ate my last two like three days ago. I was sad about it too. Now I am stocked up! Oh and a hand warmer and toe warmer packs, the one's that heat up and you stick in your gloves or socks. I looooovvvveeee you! Now who are you? Hmmmm?????? My mom lives in mississippi too. Boy you gave me enough clues too. She's a teacher? she's in the bluegrass region. I am going to figure this out. Thank you again so much from the bottom of my heart!

    Talking Thank You!

Thank you to my January SS (I will be trying to figure out just who you are shortly ). You pampered me. I cannot wait to try the coffee and chocolate covered espresso beans. I adore Smart Wool socks and they will be worn often. Thank you for thinking of my cold hands and the Lavender Stress Relief bath should come in quite handy. Thank You!!

Here is a pic of my goodies, I hope it is not too huge.
