It's been spattering rain here in Oakland all afternoon, and the weather report I just heard called for thundershowers all weekend starting tonight.

    Keep calm and carry on...

Yep I think we will have to reschedule for the New Year.

It was windy enough up my way today to make descending a little hairy so I dont fancy doing Diablo in those conditions.

Z - I wont be going down to SF now.
Originally I was going to meet up with Pete and the boys and our friend but it just seems easier now to let Pete go on his own and the boys and I will stay at home in the warm.

Have a great weekend everyone and try to stay dry.

Bill just said he has nothing to prove by riding in that weather and is quite happy to stay home. I'm piling up all the bike parts he's been collecting that need to be put on bikes in hopes he'll do something with them. I can barely find the kitchen floor any longer. I might pile them on his side of the bed. Naw, he'll just move them to the floor.

You know, before I was married I was a neat freak.

That's thing about goals - sometimes they make you do things you're not so thrilled about doing.

    Enjoy getting your kitchen back.

I'll probably do a couple of circuits of the Alameda Creek Trail & Coyote Hills, unless it's thundershowering.

You need about 50 miles tomorrow, right? You can do it! Riding in the rain isn't so bad if you have a warm place to end up. And it could be worse... you could be pulling a trailer!

Neither of my bikes currently have fenders, so I'll end up soaked. It's too late to try to get them onto Fluffy tonight. And I'm holding out for carbon fiber ones for Honu. It's not like there will be paceline on the mountain tomorrow.
