I'm SO glad I'm not the only one whose memory dredges up stuff like this. I remember the magic mirror too, and Captain Kangaroo--my fave character was Bunny Rabbit. And of course, "It's Howdy Doody Time!"

But do any of you remember Andy Divine's TV show for kids? I don't remember the title of it, but I remember he had a magic frog character, called, appropriately, Froggy. And Andy would say, "Plunk your magic twanger, Froggy!" and flash-bang, Froggy would appear. What's not to love about that?

YES!!! I used to LOVE "Andy's Gang"!! There was Midnight the cat tied and bound up to his violin, right? We actually got a rubber version of Froggy for the bathtub.
