Thanks so much for the update. Hope her recovery improves. Hope she can go home soon (if the pampering can continue at home!)

This is Silver's Hubby again:
She's still in the hospital...has a chest tube in to drain the pneumothorax
... not going as fast as it should.
But, she's got a good attitude and enjoying the pampering.
She knows about her new bike...but I didn't get pedals yet...don't want her riding before she's healed!
Here's a plug for a Trek Medone...it's lighter than my briefcase - Wow!
Thanks so much for the update. Hope her recovery improves. Hope she can go home soon (if the pampering can continue at home!)
That has to be so hard for both of you to have Silver still be in the hospital. Any word on when she will get to come home?
WOW A Trek Madone - veryyyy nice bike. Hopefully that will help to ease her discomfort alittle bit.....
Hang in there, both of you!
These things are always more complicated than everybody firstthought.Trust the doctors. For all its limitations Western Medicine is very good at traumatic injury and putting broken bodies back together.
(They don't pull many people out of plane crashes who insist on being taken to "an herbalist" rather than ER)
It takes time and conscientious physical therapy, but these types of injuries you do get "good outcomes".
Thinking of you both (do you have kids?)
All you need is love...la-dee-da-dee-da...all you need is love!
Hey, Silver's Hubby--thanks so much for doing this. Tell her we're all still sending the good vibes and will keep right on doing so, and to you too!

Thanks for the update, Silver's hubby. I'm so sorry she's going through all of this. As soon as you said pneumothorax in the other thread, I knew she was staying in for a little while yet. But it sounds as though her docs (and xray techs) are doing a good job. PTs are sometimes very hard to see. Would have been bad to send her home with that.
Let her know we're all pulling for her quick recovery. Even with all the pampering, I'm sure she can't wait to get home.
BTW, very cool about the bike. Remember to take care of yourself too.

Thanks for the update Mr. Silver and I hope she's feeling better real soon. Very cool that the bike is lighter than your briefcase. Tell your boss that. Many hugs and good healing wishes to both of you. Jennifer
