Good idea to give the moose a lot of room. They can strike with their front hooves if they feel threatened. They can move VERY fast.

The bull, too. Geez, I'd just make sure I wasn't surprising either one of them, and then try to sneak past if there was room, or wait it out if not.

I have a friend who tells a story of a guy being treed by a moose on an island and having to wait most of a day for someone else to come along to distract it so he could get back to his boat. At least they can't climb.
