I have other bikes (a commuter and a fixed gear) that I can ride if the road bike is in the shop... but I sort of like the safety of a spare bike... Or perhaps the other one could become a winter bike? I have mixed feelings.

Any thoughts or personal experiences to share?
Nothing wrong with having 4 bikes - and I think it would be nice to have a spare road bike or turning your old faithful into a winter bike Of course, nothing wrong with having a few extra $$, but would you regret it if you sold it?
