Already posted yesterday's ride in the HotHotHot thread.
I rode to the gym at the hottest part of the day (my class started at 4:30 p.m.), taught step aerobics/stability ball, rode back home. Brought my 2-liter Camelbak with ice and Nuun. After my class I was feeling bonk-ish and knew I'd have to get something to eat before I got home. So I stopped at a convenient store. Honestly, the Live Bait resembled food more closely than what they had in the "human" aisles, but I just wasn't in the mood for mealworms, so I got a peanut candy bar.
That helped some, but even so, the trip back home is a net uphill and into the wind (admittedly a light wind, but still 91°), and I just couldn't face that second-to-last hill. So I hopped onto the highway for a little over a mile instead of going the back way. 29 miles RT.
Today I spent most of the day in and out of the car, marking roads for the tour our club is co-sponsoring a week from Saturday.
I don't know what it's going to take for me to acclimate to these temperatures for running. The wind I generate just by moving the bike makes all the difference in the world...
