    Crazy cyclist driver!

Leaving work yesterday, carpooling home, we were waiting for a green arrow at our left hand turn. A guy on a bike that was WAY too small for him, (did he borrow it from his kid?) was riding on the sidewalk. Dunno if the chain was falling off or where the loud clicking noise was coming from. He didn't stop at the intersection, and even if sidewalk riding was legal, he by no means had right of way. So, he rolls into the intersection, crossing in the middle of traffic - between cars waiting at a red light - no longer in the crosswalk, and approaches our lane. We were the 2nd car at the red light that just turned green, and this organ doner can't figure out if he wants to cut in behind or in front of us. Swerving, yelling at US to get out of the way, omg! Could he give cyclists a worse name?

Well, yeah - he Was wearing a helmet, so I guess that was "good."

DH let him know just what he thought of the situation. I'm pretty sure we received the Finger in return.

    What Liz said...
Not everyone who wears a helmet is necessarily a cyclist...

Not everyone on a bicycle is necessarily a cyclist, either.

I know it probably wasn't funny at the time, but trying to invision everything you descibed in GREAT detail, I was laughing my butt off!! Maybe he was doing what one thread said....drinking and riding?
I actually saw a guy yesterday going down the road, with the helmet ON but the strap were just flapping in the wind...that was a first!
