    Karaoke Cycle

Has anybody taken a Karaoke cycle class? I don't know how good it would be as a workout, but it sounds like it could be fun! But there are definitely times when I am working out that I wouldn't be able to sing. Or I would have to lower my exercising intensity to sing. By the way, I have a horrible singing voice, but I would make up for it with increased volume!

    It's fun to stay at the Y M C A...

I have never heard of that but it sounds like it might be fun. I am with you though - I am not so sure I would be able to sing. Now we do sing the Mr. Ed song when we see horses when we are out riding.

OK I am jealous of your avatar! I could only find a boy on a bike.

Earlier, I questioned WHO GETS TO PICK THE SONGS? Do you get to, or does the instructor? I just know that the instructor would pick something soooo not in my key.

    well let me see:

Queens: I want to ride my bicycle
    ACDC(?): I can't "ride" 55
    Grateful Dead: Truckin
and there's always Daisy for the tandem riders

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

I usually sing when riding my bike. I never wear headphones, so I make do with what's in my head. Often it's Amazing Grace, or Amarillo by Morning (George Strait). Why those two songs? They make me happy! (and I know most of the words...)

The other reason I sing on the bike seems to be a form of magical protection. Since I ride in the city, I'll make up songs about how cars shouldn't hit me, or how traffic should get moving. For some reason, these songs are usually in Spanish, and sung to the tune of "Frere Jacques".

A Karaoke spin class might, at least, plant some new songs in my head!
