Has anyone tried the saddle made by Terry? It's the one that's advertised on TE. I'm thinking of trying it and was wondering if anyone uses it. I don't like a lot of padding on my saddles. I sink too far down and then I feel the bottom and I start to hurt.

Which saddle made by Terry? There are several.

I ride a ti butterfly, but will probably be switching soon to see if I can get ride of some lingering tail bone pain (from what I don't know). I have heard very mixed and mostly negative things about their gel saddles.

I have the Butterfly TI also and like it.

I did have to try a few pairs of shorts before I was totally comfortable. The LG Neo Power shorts made all of the difference!

How do you measure your sit bones? Sorry for the question but have no idea how to go about measuring mine. I have a saddle on loan from my bike shop. I will have to check. I really think that im gonna raise my handle bars in hopes that would help.

If you're looking at something like the Butterfly (since there were several Terry saddles on TE the last time I checked): I haven't used these saddles, but I've heard the comparison made to the Selle Italia Lady Gel Flow. I found the Selle Italia to be a little too soft, but the bigger problem (for me) was the overall shape of the saddle. The Butterfly is a good saddle (if it works for you!); you won't lose anything by trying it.

Raising your bars will reduce the weight on your hands and increase the weight on your butt. I'm afraid it might make your previously stated problems (too much pressure, squishing down) worse. Of course, if you need to change the height for a proper fit, go for it.

That sounds like the pain is in the forward area. i.e., OP wants to raise bars in order to sit up, thereby relieving pressure. But this will change the reach and the pressure on the knees, so shouldn't be done unless necessary to correct fit. (By a qualified fitter).

I didn't read it that way - but if it is - you're absolutely right.
