    Back to the "blogosphere"

I pretty much stopped blogging when I joined Facebook two+ years ago...but it really isn't the best place to chronicle my 2-wheeled adventures. Many of my friends don't care about it, some probably find it over the top, and since my Mother asked to befriend me on FB I find that I tend to really limit what I post so she won't worry. So, back to Wordpress I go. If I am the only reader then that is fine, it can be my journal.

Trails and Pavement is my new blog. Over the next week or so I will likely write a couple of posts that will bring my 2-wheeled adventures to date and then see how it goes.

Nobody cares when I say I rode on FB unless it's something drastic like 100 miles. Then I just get people telling me how insane I am.

My latest blog post in Cycle Write Blog, has pics of cherry blossoms that one sees riding around Vancouver BC. Yea, there are pics.

It was a real vacation for me.

I don't get the impression Facebook is easily searchable anyway..

I don't think FB is searchable, though that would be nice. I think that I've sort of tried to treat it like a blog more often than not, and it just doesn't seem to work well that way. I've friends who couldn't care less what I do outside, and then I've others who race mountain bikes and do such awesome things that I almost hate to say much of my own activities.

This way I get to treat it like a blog, since it is, and it seems more of a voluntary following than FB. Not that FB isn't voluntary, it is just different. Thanks for the votes of confidence

I hear you Grey, been there as well. Pretty darned awesome you rode a century
