    Keep The 2011 Sirrus Comp?

Kind of torn on this bike. I like the geometry but the pure black just makes the entire bike lacking personality. I did put blue pro 3 tires on it, but it still is butt ugly and then it screams loud blue.

I was thinking of selling since things are really tight, but not sure anyone would actually want a black gunmetal bike.

Did Specialized just make the Sirruses ugly? Is she worth keeping and what would make her look more cheerful?

Does it still do what you want it to do? If so what about getting signwriting vinyl and adding some coloured pinstripes or wrap entire parts of the frame tubes? It's removable and shouldn't cost as much as repainting a bike. Black would make a nice base for lots of colours.

If you can't dress it up enough, why not get it powder coated? At least around here motorcycle shops will typically powder coat a bicycle frame for about $60, it would only be a single color and nothing fancy but it is an option!

It's so funny how personal tastes run. I have a 2005 Sirrus in the carbon (flat black) color and I adore it. I absolutely love looking at colorful bikes, but I like riding my stealthy one. His name is Frank (short for Frankenstein) since I changed his straight bars to drop bars. Good thing bikes come in different colors so we can all ride what we like.
