    Silly question

Where do you put your stuff?!
I'm taking up running/walking (at this point more walking) as a supplement to the cycling.
I want to at least carry my keys, a few dollars, and a cell phone with me. Water is helpful, but not strictly necessary--there's a Starbucks, a grocery store, and another coffeeshop on my route. I don't really want to be carrying a giant bag around, but women's athletic clothing never seems to have pockets for even the basics.
    What do you do?
At least I don't leave slime trails.

    Walking - I use a fanny pack or a light-weight mesh backpack.

    Hiking - Hydration pack.

Why not just wear a cycling jersey?

On less than 10K runs I only carry id (Road ID on my wrist) and my house key (in the mini-pocket of my shorts).

Over 10K I am likely to have a fuel belt (which has a little pocket) or a hand-held water bottle (also with a pocket). I will then carry a bus ticket and/or my credit card, and a gel or two depending on the distance. I also have a skin-tight Sugoi top that has a small pocket at the back.

For me a cell phone is totally overkill because I run within a city or urban trails only. The weight of it would be unpleasant, bouncing around.

I agree 110% I am not a runner, but I have been wearing one of these nearly 24/7 for the past year to hold my insulin pump and CGM receiver with zero problems.. I love it!

They're an awesome company (and local for me!) and they really stand behind their products

I don't carry much, as my runs are short. I put my house key in the little pocket of my shorts or I tie the key to the shoe laces of my shoes if I'm wearing shorts without a pocket. I usually wear a cycling jersey also for running and my mp3 player goes in the jersey pocket. If I'm not wearing a jersey with a pocket I hold the mp3 player in my hand or strap it to my arm. I don't usually need anything else for runs of up to an hour. I don't bother with a cell phone as I'm never more than a couple of miles from home, I just let BF know which route I'm taking and when to expect me back.

If the run is long enough I have to carry water, I carry my cell phone, ID, and a credit card. I usually run from home when someone else is home (and we have a garage door opener with a keypad so I don't need a key), but if I run from work/my car, I do have to carry some keys. If I am carrying water, I put the keys wherever the water is (and only carry the minimum). If not, I wear shorts with pockets, or my spi belt.

Sometimes I do run in a bike jersey (especially if I ride then run), and the pockets come in handy, but I can't exactly stuff them because the stuff bounces more.
