help! need shorts to wear under a dress...

A long time ago, I recall seeing a post (somewhere) in this forum that sang the praises of a pair of tri / cycling shorts that were perfect for wearing during the day under dresses/ skirts -- but I can't find it!

I'm looking for shorts to wear under dresses and skirts that are a little shorter than I am comfortable with.

I'm probably looking for tri shorts (so that they are very thin and breathable), with a wide waistband (no pinching) and a very short leg (so that they don't stick out from a shorter dress).

I've been looking online and there seem to be many options-- almost too many! If anyone has any suggestions for this kind of thing, or experience with wearing shorts under a normal skirt, I'd super appreciate any advice on specific brands/ models to try.

    thanks!

That might have been me talking about how I wear UnderArmour shorts with my skirts. They come in three lengths, no chamois, and are silky like a slip. Oh, and they come in three colors. And they work great on the bike.

Plain ol' compression shorts. $25 or so.

You could always try some dance shorts/briefs. I think they come in shorter lengths and lots ot colors too.

THANKS! I will totally check those out!

I think the post I read a long time ago referred to De Soto Carrera tri shorts...but I'm not sure, and don't want to waste the time / $ ordering and shipping stuff back and forth. (plus De Soto gear is not exactly inexpensive).
