Sports bra/Support Tank

I've been looking at this support tank at Team Estrogen:

I have been unsuccessful at finding a sports bra that will actually support me (38D). Today I was at a store looking at their fitness clothing and, frankly, laughed out loud when I saw what they were calling a "large" in their sports bras.

Anyway, has anyone tried this tank? Can you REALLY wear it without a separate bra? Are there sports bras out there for larger women that actually provide support?

My spinning class is what has brought this up. When we are doing sprints, or doing standing runs/climbs, I am quite thankful for the fact that the lights are out....

I'm a bit smaller than you, but I've always had very good luck with Moving Comfort.

CW-X is my favorite. I usually wear one of my CW-X under a regular tank for athletic type stuff, and save the bra-and-tank combos for non-impact stuff.

The Endurance tank you're looking at is 1/3 off right now. How can you lose? If it doesn't fit you can send it right back to TE. I've had to return things, and let me tell you, their customer service is FABULOUS!

Wow, if that really worked I would look at it in the future. Right now if I want to ride indoors I am wearing a fabulous Champion bra (I'm a 34D...the model is CH6843 and it's worked well for me for running--my boobs don't move in that sucker and I haven't had chafing issues, either) that is double-layer, plus a PI tank with shelf-bra. I want to cut the shelf-bra out. It is worthless and adds even more layers of fabric over my boobs. With bra and top I have FIVE layers of fabric over my bosom. Insane.

The vast majority of shelf-bras are ridiculous. I know of almost no one who finds them of any value and they make getting a top on and off a real PITA.

Speaking of...does anyone know of any cycling tanks that don't have a shelf-bra? I like the pockets that cycling tanks provide, but I can't find any without the built-in flimsy bras.

For those of us A-cups out there, shelf bras are great. Just sayin' .

For cycling tanks without a shelf bra, try a Shebeest Easy-V. I have a bunch of them. TE sells them.

If it's labeled a "sleeveless jersey" rather than a "tank," it probably doesn't have a shelf bra in it.

(For this A cup, shelf bras are nice for swimsuits, Yoga and hanging out, but not for anything that involves bouncing or rapid movement, cycling included...)

I have this bra in several colors and wear it for all my workouts. I'm a 34 DD and it's wonderful, so comfortable. It has a lot of support, so even when I did some running (pre-injury) everything stayed in place.

Thanks for all of the advice. I really have to do something different, for sure, and I hate all of the earlier sports bras that I have tried that seem to just try to smash everything against my body... and there is a lot of smash! I ordered the Phoebe C/D bra - according to their chart the XL should fit... can't wait for it to arrive

Junonia is where you should look, they have lots of options. I have two of the Enells, for soccer and circuit training. It works great, but it looks like a corset, doesn't stretch and doesn't wick. After a soccer game I feel like I have a dishtowel draped in icewater around my chest, and that is not a pleasant sensation. I would never consider one for an outdoor ride, but an hour spin class would be OK.

Can anyone recommend a bra for those of us who have a large body with relatively small cup size? I wear a 46 barely C, and I need help shopping!

Moving Comfort Maia! It's been a godsend to me and has gotten me back running. As a DD myself, running was always so painful before I found this bra...
