1 year on the bike! woo hoo!

1 year ago yesterday i bought my road bike... today is the one year anniversary of my first ride on it!

    my accomplishments in that year:
    6648.3 miles
    numerous metric centuries
6 centuries (including one double metric century and 2 epic hill climbs...!)

oh.. and lots of shopping (i own a bizzilion jerseys and tons of shorts and socks and headbands!!!!)

so now lets see what today.. the beginning of my second year of cycling... brings me!

during that year i've learned a lot from you ladies! this was always a safe place to come and get answers! (the other forums sometimes didn't get the nice/good answers i'd get from you all!!!!!)

That's funny. I had been thinking about you just a few days ago and how far you've come (ridden!). I was wondering how long it had been. Happy Anniversary! Now go ride.

Impressive and inspirational! My first year with a road bike ended not long ago, so I went back to see what my stats were. You road about 5,000 more miles than I did! I guess I'll have to say the same thing about my road biking as I do about my mountain biking: I'm just here to make YOU look GOOD! Well, I guess I make YOU look GREAT! It sounds like you've had alot of fun on your bike, and I wish you many more happy miles on year number two.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

I look forward to starting a similar thread later in the year
