I wish there were more sideways views.
This dude looks like he's flying down that river!
Note the length of the record time for endurance
Butts...isn't that the outfitters we used for tubing?

He's on a standing wave... he's just staying in one spot on the wave/river.
I wish there was a shot of the kayak to show what was so special about it.
I should've gone kayaking this weekend.
Stupid bf and his stupid leg wound and being too paranoid to kayak.
On second thought, I just saw the river on the news. maybe it's better that I stayed away.
The river's actually flying past him. I'm of two minds about this kind of thing. On the one hand, it's very cool to watch. On the other hand, though... I'm sure experienced ww paddlers might disagree with me, but anyone who was out on that river yesterday needs to have their head examined. Two paddlers had to be rescued yesterday. The park service's resources are so tight they can't do needed maintenance, in part because they have to shell out time and money to rescue fools who don't know when to stay off the water.
We used River Riders. And we need to figure out a weekend this summer to do that again![]()
"How about if we all just try to follow these very simple rules of the road? Drive like the person ahead on the bike is your son/daughter. Ride like the cars are ambulances carrying your loved ones to the emergency room. This should cover everything, unless you are a complete sociopath."

My DH and a friend have been riding touring bikes from Pittsburgh and have been on the C&O for the past four days of rain, rain, rain. He said the Potomac was up over the trail in some places and they had to get on the road. He said that they were covered in mud and were absolutely amazed to see kayakers in this water. He said it was just WILD water. It doesn't look like anything I would like to do!!!![]()
They did have a very nice sunny (and windy) day today to ride the WOD up to Leesburg from DC and said there were a gazillion people riding, walking, roller blading, running, and otherwise utilizing the trail.
Thanks for showing us the link to this video! Scary!!
