Anyone else doing Wii to lose weight? If so, are you doing a variety or Wii Fit? We just got one, need to get another controller. A couple of friends have lost weight doing Wii Fit everyday.

That's great! I have the Wii since last May. We kept at it for about 2 months before summer really began and we just played outside instead. I didn't loose any weight at all. It was kinda depressing. But then, I heard the last 5 pounds are the hardest to loose anyway so I don't think the Wii would help me at all regardless.
I think the Wii may be good for someone who's relatively inactive. I really like the strength training part but the yoga annoys me. No one I know would do yoga like they show you... there's no squences. And I can't do the downward dog at all. The board can't register my weight. I have to put all my weght in my hands for it to be "balanced". But I love the soccer game!
All my friends who's tried it love it. It's fun but gets triesome after awhile. The downhill skiing is not natural to how one would do it on the slopes. You have to lean on the side you would normally NOT lean to change direction you want to go. Annoys the heck out of my BF who's a very experienced downhill skier.
But, I love it! Wish there was more games. Once you've master all the balancing games, there's really nothing much left.
Do you play the Wii Sport too? I love the tennis but I did injury my elbow and almost kick my dogs by accident.

Been using the Wii for about 4 months, two to four times a week. I like that it forces me to weigh myself and admit to myself that I am overweight, and it tracks my exercise and daily weight changes.
As for the actual exercises, I see it more as warmup (yoga), toning (strength-training), calorie burning (aerobics), and cooldown (balance) and run through them in that order for a total of about an hour. As I bought a fluid trainer last month, I have been doing alternating Wii/trainer during the week, and ride on Saturday/Sunday, with Fridays off. Yea, been loosing weight slowly as I am not 'dieting', just cutting out the garbage (like the icecream I used to eat after dinner). Since June when I started riding again, I lost about 25 lbs. Have another 25 to go.
New diet/exercise titles are being released now; I saw one at Toys-R-Us as I was holiday shopping a few weeks ago.

I just bought a game called My Fitness Coach. All I've done so far is the profile and about 5 minutes of a workout (I'm sick right now), but it looks like it'll be challenging, and I'm used to working out 5 days a week. It's more set up like an interactive dvd or something, but I really like it, and it doesn't use Wii Fit (I just bought a wii, and couldn't afford the fit part too). I got it off Amazon about a week ago, and it was on sale for only $30, looks like it is back up to $45 now though.
