    Talking Snow!

IT's SNOWING In the BIG EASY!!!

For the rest of you, this doesn't happen very often.

Yes, I used to live in snow country. Still own cross country skis. The whole office is in a tizzy.

Just thought I'd share. As I have a cube with a window, I'm hosting some of the excitment.

We had some in the Austin area Tuesday night. DH and I thought it was only sleeting so we didn't go outside to see it. As a native Texan I was quite floored to go to Ohio in January and see snow, all the people who lived there thought I was wacky because it was exciting!

Wow...that is strange! And it's raining here today, where you'd expect it to be snow this time of year!

I think ours is coming Friday night. I hope so!
But.... I have to drive 31 miles to work on Saturday morning. Could be an issue if it's too much! Maybe if it waits till I get home Saturday night, and then I just get to play in it Sunday.
    Here's Hoping!

    facewash

A facewash can be when you push snow into someones face or you can pin them on the ground & then do it.

Also bad, snow down one's back

After it rained all day here yesterday, it turned to snow at dusk. We have a lovely layer of snow over a treacherous layer of ice.

I didn't have too much trouble driving in this morning. I slid a little once.

Now it supposed to warm up and be close to 60 by Sunday!

Must be a Canadian thing - I live in the US now and asked my students how many have had/done a facewash (they are 11th and 12th grade) none had ever heard of it and we only live 50 mi South of the border

    And yes, facewash BAD ! ! !

We have snow - we have cold (it is after 1pm and still -17 F or about -27 C but warmed up from -24 F, -31 C, 2 hours ago)
I am envious of all of you who can go skiing, snoeshoeing, cycling, hiking etc
all we can do is jumpstart our cars.

    BikerHen,
I am freezing just looking at that photo. It was 78 here on saturday afternoon, and was 34 this morning when I went to work. This south wind, north wind REALLY has my body confused. My poor dog is blowing her coat.

And Christmas is supposed to be back in the 70's.... go figure.
