Jett girls, how do you do it?

Ordered a Jett in my size, holy crap! There was no part of that thing that was comfy. Am I just built funny? I had ordered a SI SLR gel flow, thin and hard but with a nice cut out. That is going back on my bike. I also like the slightly rounded back end. I have discovered that less is more and flat and hard is what works for me.

Everyone is built funny and so is every saddle. With all the uniqueness, sometimes it takes a while to find a good match.

Keep trying. Even finding what doesn't work at all helps you get closer to finding what works.

Kermit, no, you are definitely not built funny! Well, if you are then so am I. The Jett was an awful experience for me too.

Now I sing the praises of the SSM Aspide Glamour in nearly every post that talks about saddles...

Thanks for the tips, Ladies! I am off to my LBS to return the Jett that's been hurting me and I was curious what other ones I should look out for. Now I know some options. I was thinking thin and hard (with cut-out) too, so we'll see how experiment #6 goes.

It's a FABULOUS autumn-like day here in Chicago, so many hours of riding will be done today! Whoopeeeee!!!!

The Jett hurt me too. I am now using a SSM Glamour Aspide Arrowhead (has a cut-out, which I need), but lately I have been getting saddle sores. I made a slight tweak in my saddle placement last night and hope that helps as I am attempting my first century - tomorrow!

I LLLLLLOOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEE my Specialized Body Geometry Jett!!! Just had to swap the original for a narrower width. It is the BEST!!! I seem to recall Eden raving about hers as well. Granted, these are 2006/2007 models . . . maybe the newer ones aren't as comfie??? However, I think malkin's right about the "uniqueness" issue.

Hey Norsegoddess don't give up on that one just yet, I had the Aspide Glamour K arrowhead, and had to tweak the nose down just a little. It was great but too wide in the seat. It went to ebay. Good luck with the century. Use acne cream on the saddle sores, if they are the red bumps that look like a blood blister. It will dry them up.

That's what I did with the saddle last night, tweaked it down a hair. Hopefully that helps. Yes, it is the blood blister like bumps, just a couple, but one on each side!
