Thumbs up Honey House Lip Butter

When went to Davis Mountains State Park in May the dry air really did a number on my lips. I had not brought any lip balm and was miserable! Luckily, the park also houses the Indian Lodge which had a small gift shop. I asked the desk clerk for chap stick and she recommended a different product, Honey House Lip Butter. It is amazing, the bees knees! I really like the light feel of it and it has just a slight waxy feel that is very comfortable. The mango flavor is very light and doesn't bother me (not a flavor lip balm gal). The also have unscented. Claims to be all natural and is made right here in the USA, $5.50 a tin but it seems to be going a long way.

I've seen their soaps and lotions at the local grocery store. I'll have to keep an eye out for the balm. Thanks for the recommendation.

I have one of their lotion bars - don't use it in the summer, but it's really nice before bed in the winter. Rub into cuticles, on elbows, on split places, etc. All natural - ingredients are: shea butter, jojoba, beexwax, lanolin, cocoa butter, sweet almond oil, vit. E.

I'll have to try the lip stuff (but I'm pretty stuck on badger balm...)

I had gotten the bee bar as a gift and I loved it. I loved the smell and feel of it.

I had a Bee Bar once couple years ago. It went horribly rancid on me, and I never was able to get the smell out of my jeans. (I put it on my legs ONCE!)

Things react badly to my skin (scented things, plastics, some metals), so I know I am a freak. I was mighty sad about the Bee Bar, cuz it was cute...

I like Merry Hempsters products. Available with and without chemical SPF and in a vegan version as well as the "regular" beeswax-based version.

They're also local to the PNW. A few years back there was a hemp products company in my neck of the woods (heart of the former commercial hemp growing region, where many placenames still have "hemp" in them), but political pressures shut the company down .
