I work every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. (12 hours each=40 hours due to working weekend package). I started putting up xmas decorations this past week, the cat has helped me, he's checked out all the boxes before they were unloaded, helped make sure things that moved were still flexible, and anything that could be batted around, was done and with great enthusiasm. While assembling my vintage silver aluminum charlie brown tree, the plastic ornaments got knocked off and he pulled at the plastic beaded garland. The branches really fascinated him, they sparkled and moved with the littlest of ease. I get home from work last night, the cat is usually asleep in my chair. He's up and then procedes to run and hide under the bed..that's odd I think, he's never done that. I walk into the livingroom to let DH know that I was home (he falls asleep in the recliner until I get home) and on the floor is one silver aluminum tree, branches everywhere, ornaments all over in various corners and under rugs and the beaded garland is half off the tree! It appears to look like my tree was strangled by the garland and had toppled over, losing all its possessions in the fall. DH swears he was watching tv when it happened and had nothing to do with this crime. He of course witnessed it and left the tree to remain on the floor, losing limbs and adornments with no one to be by its side while it was down for the count. My cat had to be coaxed out from under the bed with treats, and when I took him into the livingroom, he walked way out of his way to avoid the tree. I think the poor tree got the best of him..I thought of you ladies, wishing I had a camera to take a picture and show all of you what it looked like. One of these days I will be a savy, modern gal. But until then, the imagination is a wonderful thing.
