My front brake pads were just about dead after my last double. The roads were so gritty from the rain. I'm discovering that bike maintenance really isn't that hard.

Brakes are good. If you're not sure what you should be doing with the one you can just look at the other. Having more than one bike is also useful in this way.
Drink coffee and do stupid things faster with more energy.

It's the constant adjusting to get them just perfect that drives me nuts. I don't have that much patience.
