    Castelli shorts for women

    Hello,

I love the quality of Castelli , but lately have been really disappointed in the shorts. I have the Coure shorts ( in white-red) and LOVE them- very thick and nice.

I just bought the Cocoon shorts ( black-white),though, and don't like them at all. They feel very thin and do not fit well at all. The chamois gaps like a shelf in the back! LOL.

I was wondering if any one has tried the Visio shorts by Castelli? or can anyone recommend some nice Castelli shorts?

    Thanks-
    Julie

I think shorts are a little like saddles a very personal thing. I like the Castelli Donna shorts but I know a few of the girls here prefer the Donna from a few years ago and hate the latest version. I just got a pair of the Free shorts and so far I like them......the price is a little scary though.

Good luck with your short shopping.

    Thanks,

    yes, shorts are individual.

I bought the Castelli free bibs for my boyfriend and we had to return them . The logo started peeling and the black color ran onto the white. Very disappointing. We got the Wicked as a replacement and he loves those...
guess I need to keep shopping for myself.

Sorry to hear about your boyfriends bibs. So far my shorts are holding up fine. No colour runs or logo peeling thank goodness.

    Happy shopping

I love the 2006 Castelli YPro Donna short. I've got 4 pair and wear them on every ride. They solved my sit bone pain problem. I *love* these shorts, and even with 4 pair, I think I should order more to have in reserve. I tried the Visio short, but didn't like them as well. I didn't like the feel of the short, and there is some sort of clear raised plastic stuff on the outside of the lower leg that annoyed me. (Didn't feel annoying, because it was on the outside, but I just didn't like it.)

If you wear small or large, the YPro Donna is half price at backcountryoutlet right now. The smalls are only in the navy/black combo, though.
