Lucky you! It's 9F here right now. I have an interview today and I'm wearing a turtleneck and a thick wool sweater...very dressy don't you know.

Good luck with the interview, Queen. At least they'll see that you're a woman who knows enough to dress warm when it's cold, come in out of the rain, use sun block when under an ozone hole, etc.
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.

    Good points DoW!!

It could be an interesting position, it's working as a member of the team that is digitizing parts of the UI library collection to facilitate open access. I'm sure some of it would be dull but I'm really interested in the "open access" side of things.

    Thinking of you, KSH...

I saw on the news today they consider Dallas to have the worst weather in the US. 33F and COLD rain. Poor KSH and her new bike are stuck inside...

Aside from those couple of weeks of bitter cold that I imagine you Europeans are "enjoying" right about now, this winter hasn't been too bad. More consistent snow than we got last winter, so far...

Last winter I could have rode my bike, though... this year, I wish. Just when the streets are clean enough, it snows again.

We're supposed to get snow, sleet, and freezing rain tomorrow in central NC. Looks like another work from home day!

Not sure whether I'll be able to work from home tomorrow or not....hopefully I'll be able to....the weather is looking yucky in NC - snow then sleet then freezing rain then rain. YUCK!
