    Crash Proof Cycling Shorts

I've had 3 fairly horrid wipeouts on my road bike in the last three weeks, all stupid and freaky. The point is it's doing my confidence plus removing large portions of skin from my upper/outer thigh area and creating huge bruising.

Can anyone recommend a short that isn't too bulky, protects the upper thigh/hip area and is for ladies? I'm 27" waist with 38" hips

    Thank you

    Hi Stoweq,
I haven't tried these, but dh loves them the endura mt500, they have kevlar stitching and thick lycra (twice as thick)

I've been seeing a lot of good reviews for these.

Can I suggest a skills clinic? I don't know what caused your crashes but would you have been able to prevent or deal with the moment better?

Wow, thanks guys, they look the business.
I went into my local bike shop today (Phuket, Thailand) and the guy looked at me like I was from Mars. What, you want some shorts that protect you and fit women????? I suppose that was a bit much to ask!!!

One of my crashes was me being an idiot, taking my hands off the handlebars whilst taking off my hat....hit a pot hole and.....crash.
Yesterday I went out in the drizzle onto a very steep hilly section of road, should've realized it wasn't a good idea when my wheels were spinning going up the hill and of course coming down the hill.....brake and....wipeout.

I would love to attend a skills clinic. It's a question of where since I live in Phuket but you never know. I'm about to do the Phuket Olympic Triathlon in three weeks time so maybe there will be some pro's I can ask.

    Thanks again for the replies
