    Group ride in southbay (SoCal)

Hi gals- I am looking for a group ride (preferably women) in the South Bay area. I am not a great rider, so I could use an easy going group with a variety of skill levels. I am looking to get better and riding with my husband is just frustrating at this stage. Anyone know the feeling? I am new to the forum, so any info would be helpful.

    Thanks a bunch,
    Shannon

uh... Southbay where? I see you have Redondo as your location.. there is a Southbay in San Diego as well...???

and yes, I DO know what you mean... when I was new, riding with my now ex-DH (and the D does NOT stand for "dear" ) was miserable... you're smart to find people that are closer to your level but that will still give you incentive to improve...
There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".

Sorry, South Bay is in Manhattan, Hermosa, Redondo or Torrance area. I didn't realize there were so many South bays!

Hi Shannon. I live south of you in Huntington Beach, but if you ever want to ride, give me a shout! We have a VERY ACTIVE so Cal subforum over at Bike Forums and we get together nearly every weekend to ride...either rides we plan ourselves or organized centuries/metrics. All of our rides are no drop and very social in nature. We just started getting together recently...since this summer and these people already feel like family...you won't find a more welcoming group!

Here's the link to our forum...Bike Forums southern California

We can get a little wild and silly in the forum, but we're all harmless. Mostly.

    Hi Shannon

Please go to Open Topic > Getting to Know You and let TEers know a bit about you!

I ride out of Torrance. Wednesdays are my easy-ride days (it comes after my Tuesday run-hard days) but I get out pretty early – first light – if you can make it. Torrance Beach to Marina Del Rey, easy 13-14 mph average. I'm in the same boat, my riding pals are are experienced triathletes/Ironmen and I can't keep up with them. It would be nice to have some company!

    Joy
