That's wonderful! I might adopt that idea. I'm lucky to have a partner who shares my enthusiasm for cycling, too.

We have thousands of cycling photos from trips, around where we've lived, but not many of both of us together in bike gear or cycling together. 'Cause we're usually we're taking pics of each other when cycling. The red heart bike bell (he got from Belgium at cycling conference) is close to both our hearts. Unintentional corniness.![]()
So here it is: a preview of our 2009 Christmas photo card for our families far away. Taken actually outdoors last night at a Bike to Work Week commuter station. There was a fun, makeshift photo booth with a pro photographer & his equipment for free photos, coffee, snacks, music and info.
Photos are loaded onto Flickr for all participants. It was great fun.
Hope you have some portrait, clear cycling photos to share also. They really are rare, valuable opportunities.

Aw, what a great picture!
Great picture! Like you, we rarely have a picture of the both of us on the bikes. Glad you got that one of the two of you- its a keeper!

Wonderful idea! We, too, do not have many photos of the two of us in cycling gear. Funny though, my mom asked for a photo of the two of us for Christmas this year. Her instructions: "NOT on your bikes!"![]()

What a great picture!
This will make a wonderful Christmas card.
Looks cold.
smiling couple on bikes = priceless!
Such a nice shot! Wish we were as organized for the holidays as you. I'm usually frantically fishing through family photos in the middle of December to find one to make a card out of.
It was such a cool idea! Nice to see the two of you on the same picture!
Awww how cute!
"The bicycle is just as good company as most husbands and, when it gets old and shabby, a woman can dispose of it and get a new one without shocking the entire community." -- Ann Strong, Minneapolis Tribune, 1895
I soooooo wish my husband would cycle with me. That's so wonderful!
Obviously, your mom views both of you as a cycling-addicted couple!
Allezgirl, it's wonderful to have a pic with your SO on a mountain top. A location to "aspire" for a pic together.
Stacysue, a pic with another cycling -happy family member is always memorable. Always. My brother-in-law's cherished photo of his now-dead brother (who died from throat cancer at 40) is a group cycling photo with him and his brother on bikes on a group bike trip.

Well, this is 'cheating' I guess....but this was our holiday card from last year.
I used a real antique postcard of a c.1910 couple on their bikes (they looked somewhat sour-pussed!) and I 'Photoshopped' our happy faces in instead.
It was a big hit with our friends.
It does accurately represent how we feel when riding together though.
