    noisy cyclops

So my relatively new cycleops fluid trainer is noisy. The tire squeaks. I searched threads and it said to put in more air and not turn the yellow knobby thing too far. I'm wondering if anyone is willing to take a pic of their trainer where the tire makes contact with the roller so that I can see how squished in the tire is.

It's also a little noisy besides that squeaking (different type of noise).. anybody have any other tips on how to quiet it down?

    thanks!

You could also try cleaning the tire with some rubbing alcohol before using the trainer too. It can prevent some of the slippage and maybe some squeaks too. It will always make some noise, I don't know of any silent trainer, but fluids tend to be more quite than others.

    Beane,

First, make sure your tire is properly inflated.

Second, one I have my tire properly inflated I begin turning the knob until the roller just makes contact with tire. At that point I turn the knob 1 - 1 1/2 additional turns and that seems to prevent any slipping.

    Hope this helps.
