    jimi, anyone? other wallets?

I've coveted one of these for a long time, even though I had no use for it.

Suddenly, it occurs to me that this would be perfect for cycling. Takes up little space and carries only the essentials.

Does anybody have one? Or something similar? What do you use?

I use the Jimi all the time. I carry 2 wallets - the larger one with the cards I don't use much and money, and then the Jimi if I just want to leave my purse in the house or car and just carry something in my pocket.

For cycling, I actually carry the jimi in a plastic bag along with some change, sunglass cleaner wipes, inhaler and some other stuff. I feel like the jimi is so small and smooth it might come out of my jersey. I know this is improbable, but I feel safer doing it this way.

I went to a small store in Tomales (a very small town) and when I pulled out my ziploc bag wallet the cashier said "All you guys have the same wallet!"

That's cool! Something else to add to the Christmas present list. . .

I use this one for long distance hiking when I want to go ultralight:

Otherwise it's a thicker hip pocket nylon wallet. The thicker wallet goes with me on most bike rides as it fits the jersey pocket just fine.

This is actually kinda embarassing. When I was hunting for something to carry, I ran across a little girls bike bag. I found it a Wally World. It's leopard print (as opposed to the pink and red flowers). It holds my cell, id, $, chewing gum, and it fastens to my front handlebars.

I have a weakness for leopard skin. My high school mascot was the Leopards. There is never anything embarrassing about leopard skin (even if my husband did say my leopard skin cowboy hat looked like it belonged to a hooker).

DebW -- I like that ultralight. I particularly like the travel wallet that has room for a passport, too. Very cool.

I've never seen those, but now I might have to pick one up. I've been using a cheap wallet like thing I got at on of those teenybopper accessories store (Icing or Topkapi). I figured whatever they had would be made out of some plastic-y sweatproof material. I've heard of people using the holders especially made for fishing licenses also--again they're water/sweat proof.

Oh, how neat - it looks very handy. The lanyard is a nice alternative if you aren't wearing a biking jersey and/or shorts with pockets.

How cool is that? I must remember these for gifts and for myself. :-)

Ok, I bit. I ordered 2 (one for me and one for DH). We'll see how they are IRL when they arrive. I always carry a small wallet in my back pocket like a guy, so I am already primed for the smallness of this thing. It sounds cool, and I like the colors

Please give a full report when they arrive. I was planning on getting several as well.

Let me know what you think. I know of several guys who love them, but haven't gotten the girls' reaction yet!
