    Unhappy Best swimsuits for training?!?!

OK so what brand/model swimsuits do you swim goddesses recommend for training in the pool. My one piece speedos seem to just dissolve after a couple of months of swimming 3-4 times a week. It's like the latex just dissolves one day and leaves the lycra shell a flabby mess, hanging like wrinkly elephant skin from my body when I get out of the pool.

I can't seem to determine which suits really are chlorine resistant, etc. and actually last more than a couple of months.

And yes, I do rinse the suits in cold water, squeeze (no wringing) and let them drip dry...

    Help!

I've got a Speedo that I love, and it's lasted a couple of years. It is fully lined, has a low leg rise and good shelf bra. Modest, not baggy. Reminds me, though, that I need to take it out of my bag and let it dry! Thanks!

I've had two or three pairs of togs from Adidas that seem to have lasted well. It is kinda funny how they'll be fine and then suddenly just disintegrate.

My daughter has been on the Y swim team for four years, and we have gone through quite a few suits. Nike suits seem to hold up better than Speedo, Tyr, or any other brand we have tried. Last year, she was swimming 5 to 6 days a week, and it never got loose. We had to retire it in March of this year because she grew, not because the suit was worn out.

Good luck, and if you find one you like, buy two or three!!!

You can always a couple of suits at a time. It gives you more drag and makes you work harder.

this is what we always did when I was on swim team. when you are in the pool 6 days a week - with twice a days 2 of those days, no suit can stand up to it. To save money and make us stronger we just doubled or tripled up on suits unless we were tapering.
