Altering too-long cycling tights (Shebeest XL Tech Tights)

    DUPLICATE POST

In October, I bought a pair of XL Shebeest Tech Tights. When I tried them on, they seemed a bit long, but I am new to cycling, so I wore them on a ride and HATED them - the bunching behind my knees and at my ankles was really uncomfortable (I'm 5'4").

I've since found Terry's petite tights and love them, but I'm stuck with the Shebeests because I wore and washed them once so can't return them. Can they be altered?

I've read a couple posts where people mentioned 'cutting the bottoms off' but it seems to me that cutting off the ankle gripping would render the pants pretty much unwearable. I was wondering if I could overlap the materials at calf level to shorten the legs.

Conversely, I could sell them if someone's interested.

Any and all advice would be appreciate.

    Thanks!
