I started jogging yesterday - Bra advice

I started jogging yesterday. Only went about a 1/2 mile with jogging/walking. I think I'm going to do the C25K program. I need to look into more. I was a runner back in the 80s - running 50 mpw, doing 10ks, 1/2s and marathons. This time I just want to run just to stay fit. I will probably alternate between riding/running. I need some bra advice. I'm a 38B/C, I wore a Champion C9 medium impact bra and was too 'bouncy'. Thank you

I am pretty flat chested, so I can't give specific advice, but Title Nine has an awesome bra collection. You might peruse their website for some ideas.

I've found them to be extremely helpful, willing to explain fits and measure things, and even try items on themselves to tell me how they feel. Returns are never a problem.

I've always had good luck with the high motion control Champion bras (not the C9 ones--they are generally more for lower-impact activities or smaller boobies). I've tried a few Moving Comfort ones, but never found them to fit my shape well, for some reason.

The Jubralee and the Fiona are both great bras. The Jubralee is a more recent introduction and, I think, an improvement on the Fiona because the band is sewn down preventing it from rolling plus it has a little more ergonomic shaping. What I like about these bras is the lack of heavy padding and "armor", and that they're lean more toward compression to provide control. I tried a Luna last year when I separated my ribs because the idea was that encapsulation would place less pressure on my ribs, but I hated the stiff engineering, side panels and heavy padding. I also don't think it controlled movement as well as the Jubralee or Fiona. I always felt like I was going to pop out the top.

Beware, the cup size on the Jubralee runs a tad small so I ordered one cup size up (34DD instead of 34D) from the Fiona to find the fit was exactly the same. When I need more bras, I'll order the Jubralee.

I'm small-breasted but the C9 bras still don't work for me (except in a double layer). Nice for cycling and yoga, not for impact. Moving Comfort also doesn't fit me.

But I'm seriously bumming because Champion changed their knit on the Double Dry shiny bras that worked for me for years - the ones that look similar to the C9 bras but were way more supportive. Same model number, same apparent pattern, but they changed something about the knit, and now, by the end of a run, my b00bs are half under the band. Zoom-zoom, when's the last you bought a new one? It seems like it was a year or two ago they changed.

So I don't have any "pro" recommendations, but I'd recommend against the new style Champion bra. But if you want to try one, I have one new in bag, size small...

I just bought a couple of my favorite Champion bra back in Jan., I believe. I haven't noticed a difference in the fabric on that--it's still way supportive and fits well. The only thing I really don't love about it is that they line it with some sort of thin foam (to prevent nipple show-through, I think), and that stuff doesn't wick well at all...I don't have major nips issues, so I'd prefer a bra with no lining.

Surg, I personally do best with bras that both encapsulate each breast, as well as compress them individually. Much better motion control, that way. I tend to like bras with underwires, too. I also haven't ever had luck with the ones that come in S, M, L, XL, etc. sizing. I am small around, but relatively big busted. I've gotta have actual bra-sized sports bras.

Encapsulation (cups) vs compression is a personal thing. I prefer compression ( re-read my previous post). You have to jump up and down in each to figure it out. I can't fathom underwires in a running bra but others obviously do!

Here was my experience with Moving Comfort's lack of product support. Sports bras are expensive for me, and I can't afford to replace my whole fleet every 6 months.

I've been not running, so haven't replaced the heavy duty hardware. I will probably try an Enell next time I need something with great support.

Moving Comfort Juno bra. I am not blessed in the bosom department, but this is my favorite. Adjustable straps, hook/eyelet closure in the back, surpringly comfortable. A 32B fits me, even though I usually wear a 32A. I would expect those who are more endowed than I would find it effective in terms of motion control and support.

I haven't experienced the same laundry issues that Blueberry did with her Callies. I wash them, on gentle/cold, in a lingerie bag and hang to dry.

zoom-zoom, I bought that Champion bra, found it at Kohls on sale +another 30% off for $17.99 also on clearance was an UA Heat Gear one. I wore the UA, not bad a little bouncy, but not much. Thanks everyone for the feedback.

Love love love the under armour "armour bra." I have very bouncy ta-tas and they don't move at all when I jog in that bra. Plus it is very comfortable and non-binding. I don't like underwires.

I don't believe this is the UA 'armour' bra. I'm going to check their website.
