getting moved in bits and pieces

We got moved into the new house last week. In spite of three weeks of mucking, hewing, sorting and several fulll loads to charitable organizations we moved 200 boxes, not counting the pieces of furniture. My Father in Law, who is also moving in with us, had his bits and pieces shipped from Florida which totaled 80 boxes and furniture.
I have been unpacking boxes for a solid week and gradually whittling down the check list of missing items which includes our pillows and bedding,a box full of connectors and cords including dh's garmin, several of my fathers wood carvings, my computer lap desk, and workout clothes for both dh and I and until box 103, my biking shoes, and box 178, my biking shorts. There are four picture/mirror cartons and the rest are smaller book boxes which are all heavy enough to contain only books, so it is not looking good for pillows, bedding, electronics or carvings. Fortunately, we moved our bikes, helmets, gloves ourselves and dh's bike shoes and one set of bike clothes were in his gym bag which helped out some.
Of the 80 boxes that FIL brought with him are 45 boxes of Staffordshire, Ironstone and Mercury glass, which I don't have to do anything with but DH will have to deal with after he becomes an expert on Ebay. The rest of the boxes are unpacked for FIL and I still have the book boxes to do, but there is light at the end of the tunnel and if I can bestir myself early enough to beat the heat, I may even get in some exploratory biking this week.
