I could see this with myself as well so I will try to remember it while I look at my options.
The whole going into debt part still bothers me. I want to make sure that on the other side of this I...

Thanks all. As for shopping around... unfortunately I am having a hard time finding another school that offers this specific program. It combines marketing/market research and communications...
I am finally getting serious about furthering my education (and more confident in taking on the debt, which has been my biggest reason to not continue my education). Unfortunately, the degree I want...
Oops! Thanks for the date correction. I would have figured it out... eventually. I am signed up for the 108 mile ride. The TdC team down in NC was absolutely amazing and made my first organized ride...
Has anyone done the Tour de Cure ride from Reston, VA? It will be June 1st this year. I signed up after having such a great experience riding the TdC down in NC.
ETA: Date correction... it is...
17.3 miles today. Around 50 degrees, not too much breeze. It was lovely.
I totally forgot about Silver jeans. I love, love, LOVE those.
I looked at my pair of Wranglers. They are the Aura cut. Although I read some recent reviews that the cut may have changed. I hope...
Kona Jake the Snake?
Do you have any outlet stores near you? The way you describe yourself sounds exactly like me. Trim, small waist, bigger back end, thighs and calves. :p My most favorite pair of jeans is finally...
I have read/heard numerous times that the biggest upgrade you can make on a bike is the wheelset. I love my Ruby but have been pining to upgrade the bike as a splurge. I made a promise with myself...
That is the same way I felt on day two. I was force feeding myself from morning until I finished my ride. Wasn't sure I could keep down lunch but somehow managed. Calories coming is are so important!...
Glad you liked my post. I have to say many of the tips (fuel early and often, break but not for too long, think of the the ride in small pieces, etc...) all came from friends or people who have been...
Hmm, you sound like me before the 170 mile (over two days) ride I completed two weekends ago. I had a training plan but, like you, life happened and I just wasn't able to put down the mileage I...
Rode 170 miles over Saturday and Sunday in the NC Tour de Cure. This was my first organized ride, on more hills than I've ever trained on, riding longer than I've ever riden, and I absolutely LOVED...
I have one for my wrist. Originally I purchased it for bike rides but now I wear it on hikes, runs, etc... I purchased the original (velcro) and think my next one will be a slimmer version.
Just wanted to add a little about the Jeeps. They did go through a point in time where there was significant difference in engines and upkeep. The 4.0 liters, well, you couldn't kill them (I had one,...
Bonked on my ride today. Not happy about. I really ought to know better by now. I was way under-fueled. Although, I did recognize the early feeling and cut 6 miles out of my ride. Hoping I...
Not sure if this is what you are looking for but I love my tricross. Sturdy, can load it up, not afraid of it accidentally dropping. It isn't pretty but it is a great workhorse of a bike.
Good idea! I ended up putting on some Continental 4 Seasons and the guys at the LBS went ahead and did some warranty tweaks on my bike for me. :) One more reason to be happy it happened this morning...
Oakleaf, pretty sure you are right. Funny thing (not so funny??) is I had this bike at one of the lbs's and asked them about new tires. The guy (not my normal guy) shrugged and said mine were fine...
No idea but the tires are pretty old and I've been putting lots of miles on them since last year. Was hard to miss this morning since my tire was completely flat.
I had the bike up on the trainer...
Am I right? :p

Glad this happened BEFORE I started heading out on the 50...
Wow! Good luck and I hope you do have a nice tailwind! Please update us when/if you can.
Nope, hadn't heard of them. I took home a pair of Brooks PureFlow a couple weeks ago but wasn't satisfied. They were too squishy and that makes the tendon on the outside of my ankle hurt. The Adizero...
Peeking into this thread. I've picked up a bit of running again to supplement the days I can't get on my bike. The last week and a half they've all been treadmill runs because I've been experimenting...
