I've found that doing lots of rides in PA, where one can easily do a century with 10,000' of climbing is great preparatory work for CO. It's tough in either state and you'll be tired.
Good luck!

I broke down this year and bought a Computrainer because lots of the racer folks I know use them. I'm hoping to have the discipline to ride indoors on bad winter days. I'm tired of my riding pals...
I'm with Lisa! Sounds much more pleasant.
I, too, thought someone was going to get a Seven in '07.
mimi, hoping you have all positive thoughts from now on. They are less tiring.
Got them Monday and thank you very much for sending them! Y'all are a class act. :) I appreciate the heads up, too.
Thank you again!

SadieKate, just be glad I didn't ship you chocolate. :)
I've had people from both genders say and so ugly things to me. Of the two, women have been the most unkind to me. That's one reason I am wary of women. For some reason, they just don't like me...
Today is the day SadieKate and I are different ages for 2 months. :D Happy Birthday!
Having been married once many moons ago, I realize you give up quite a bit of control over your space during marriage, co-habitation, etc. However, I still believe understanding and abiding by each...
I could use a laugh now and then, if you felt like sharing some of your other ride writings. You have a talent. :)
Looks like a neat operation. Mildly surprised they need to state to only send clean shorts.
Geez, I was sure hoping someone would throw out a double dog dare. Seemed kinda' fitting...
I ride for me. Sometimes I want to push, other times I am a genuine slacker. However, even when I want to push, there are always others who can beat me to a pulp.
If I don't feel like riding, I...
Got my order today minus a cling. Y'all out or do you need a SASE? Either way, thank you very much for the TE sticky notes.
I dare you. :D
Night riding is good. I, too, have poor night vision now and the more light the better. I use a Nite Rider HID, which does a great job for me. Some of the others don't illuminate enough. Veronica...
Can you put one in the order I placed today? I would be most grateful. If not, I can do the SASE thing.
I'd say smart and a keeper, too.
Geez, I meant to order one but am waaaay too late. Triple darn!
I'm glad you are OK but admittedly your writing of the crash had me rolling with laughter. If that is sick and you didn't intend humor, I apologize immediately. Great way of handling the crash and,...
Beautiful work, Bluetree!
I have ridden in that area quite a bit with jjfox and HillsRmyFriends at www.bikejournal.com and can attest to the riding being undoubtedly brutal. Wish I could have watched it with jjfox but it...
Shotguns don't require the accuracy or swing of an axe.
Call me lazy........
I'll lift lighter weights with lower body during riding season on days I don't ride. On rare occasions I will lift light weights on riding days. Winter, I move back to heavier weights with lower...
That just bites it to the rim, eh? Don't you hate when that happens, feeling good, everything clicking, you know a personal best awaits you, then pssst?
I endured two flats on BTC last week. One...
Aw, c'mon, you want to know who you are faster than. :D
This thread is too serious for the subject matter, eh?
