Been commuting all along - not too cold, but dang nabbit, where is the rain! I've been hoping for a wet commute before 2009 ends, probably not going to happen :(
Its the picture, I took it right as we brought the bike home. We put the tape on latter that evening. I just forgot that this picture was w/o tape :o
Hi azfiddle, they are held at BICAS. http://bicas.org/. It is better to call them and find out when the classes are then to look at the schedule online. They just ended a class about 2 weeks ago, so...
Wow, it beautiful. That looks fast just sitting there :)
Hopefully your health recovers soon. It must be painful not to ride it.
Well, its not new...an 80 or 90's Bianchi. My partner and I refurbished it. We took a Build-a-Bike class this summer. The first bike we built they sold. Then they gave us credit toward buying a bike...
I don't know how to compare it exactly. I used to bike in cities before they started to put in bike lanes. Then I didn't bike for a while and now here I am in Tucson. There is a strong bike community...
Hi,
We now have a bike church in Tucson. Its awesome. Students built it over the summer as an art project. Here is a link to more info...
Hi pinkpedalsUT,
I'm assuming you are in Salt Lake, so I found this website: http://www.slcgov.com/transportation/BicycleTraffic/MAP.htm
We have a map like this for Tucson. I find it very...
That is awesome!
Radishes are my favorite plant to grow, very satisfying as they come up the fastest.
Wow, this is exactly what I'm going thru right now. I can't go up stairs or sit for long periods. Biking doesn't really bother it. I'm in my 3rd month of PT and not seeing any real improvement. I go...
The nice thing about raised beds is that you don't have to make them all at once. If the cost or even the size of the project is overwhelming you, try just making 1 or 2 beds this year and a couple...
as an owner of 650's I would go for the 700. It is hard to find tires. All the cool or useful ones are never in my size. There is never a sale on them and they are never an 'overstocked' item.
Wow Jean, the article is awesome. You are truely an inspiration!
I wear a pair of thick compression shorts. They are just enough to help keep my thighs warm. I'll were them under my padded capris or tights. I think the extra layer helps keep me warm. We just don't...
We final have gotten down to freezing. I noticed lph's avatar and how she wears the buffs (or whatever they maybe) around her face. I tried it this morning. The result was 3 layers on my ears and no...
Nice bike. Hope you have many happy miles on it. :)
+1 on that. Drink a lot of water the night before....like a gallon if you can. If you are the least bit dehydrated your viens are harder to find.
I got that tip the first time I tried to donate...
I have never had an MRI, only been witness to one....I agree, they do seem scary. If you can not find someone to go with then, let us know when you are going so that we can keep you in our thoughts....
I thought I was having hot flashes this past summer. Turns out that it really was just that hot, LOL! Now that we are having cooler weather my 'hot flashes' are gone.
what a beauty!
Sunrise!
Boy was it awesome this morning, comparable to the our great sunsets.
I purchased the PI Whisper vest. I like the Vagabond jacket as well but I found the vest at such a good price.
I saw those yesterday and I was wonder if they are really warm or just a bit...
I think you all are right about one vest not being enough. I'm going to order one stay warm with and one to be seen with. Its better to error on the side of visiblity then not.
Thanks for all...
We did have ice once. I had to wait till 9:00am, when the ice melted, to ride to work...but then again so did most of Tucson. :)
