Welcome back! I look forward to reading about your future adventures.
I thoroughly enjoyed this year's tour. The scenery; the daily stage battles; the bright young stars like Sagan, Van Garderen and Pinot; Voeckler in polka dots; Bradley Wiggins proving to be a very...
Mimi, thank you for sharing his last moments. My condolences to you and your family.
Wow, Veronica! I think I'd need to wear a diaper if I tried skydiving, so probably better for everyone if I don't.
Mimi, you and RaleighDon have been in my thoughts, and will continue to be. I don't have the words to describe how much I admire Donald's strength and generosity.
No Booty? Oh, well. It is scary to be out of town when you've got a medical issue. Hang in there.
Congratulations to you both! Since you did marry at 12, here's to 50 more!
If the steep side of Coleman Valley doesn't look inviting, swing around from Bodega Bay to the bakery first, then Occidental (in case you're hungry again), and then tackle the easier side of Coleman...
I usually tip $10-$20 per day per guide, given with a card to the main guide. On the hotel-based tours I've done costing $3000 and up I can't imagine tipping 10-20% of the tour price! Maybe I'm on...
Looks like you two had a great trip! I always enjoy your pictures too.
All of the above!
Congratulations.
She's adorable! Congratulations!
I'm doing a tour in the Texas Hill Country with Adventure Cycling in early April. It will be the first time in decades that I spend 6 straight nights camping, but I'll try to HTFU. :)
I couldn't get a decent picture of me and my beer if my life depended on it, so here's the beer - a so-so Anchor Christmas Ale, but it looks nice in its Amici Veloci pint glass.
Cheers!!!
The thermostat is set to 63 all the time. My house doesn't heat well and 63 usually keeps the upstairs from getting too hot while the downstairs isn't too cold. That said, right now I'm wearing...
I'm in!
A Global Cyber Beer Fest sounds like fun to me! I'm in.
I want to learn to cross country ski, so if beginners are welcome I'd love to come.
Awesome! It's been fun following both Chris and Susan, and they are both amazing. Chapeau!
Good luck and have an excellent ride! I look forward to following your progress, but know you will rock PBP!
I wax my painted bikes too, for the same reasons I wax my car. I also use Pledge on both my painted bikes and unpainted Ti, as it makes it easier to clean them, and shinier too.
Mimi, my thoughts are with you and RD.
I love the DeFeet arm and knee warmers, in both synthetic and wool. I find knee warmers more comfortable and versatile than knickers, and I prefer them over full leg warmers too since I wear them in...
I was on a bike tour last week which included several days on the Bow Valley and Icefield Parkways between Banff and Jasper. Driving back to Banff on Saturday, we saw quite a few loaded bike...
That's really cool.
You were teaching the other 5th grade class, right? Hmm, now I'm thinking these 5th grade boys must often have a crush on teacher. :)
