Don't get me...

Don't get me...
When it comes down to money vs. time I , personally, always always choose time.
Time=health/fitness/emotional well-being/creativity. Money=more stuff. I've learned to live with less "stuff".

Lucky you...but what about people who don't live where there are hundreds of miles of trails?
I moved from a state, a very big state, but a state sadly lacking in public land. History and culture...
Meow! I'm gonna tell them you said that :D :D :D
Courteous Racers, is that like Jumbo Shrimp? :p
Food fight!
Seriously, I'll keep da' boys, warts and all. I kinda feel like the fly on...
Thanks for getting back to us.
I know what you mean about the test-riding thing. When I was hunting (and it is a hunt ) for a mountain bike, I kept a little notebook and wrote sizes and...
I was kind of wondering...I mean just because you are female doesn't mean you neeeeeed a women-specific saddle. Marketing hacks!!! grrrrrr.
:D
Hard to say with out seeing you on the bike, but it sounds like you are "rolling" too far forward on the saddle. Check your position on the bike and make sure that you are able to truely "perch" on...
I'm always cold...I love knickers. I have knee warmers and I'll wear those when I think it's really going to warm up. I find that I can comfortably ride in knickers from hi 30s to low 70s (F).

Unfortunately, the men I ride with aren't so, ahem, charitable.
Racer snobs! :p
Perhaps I just need to find a new riding group....
Many shops use Pledge (shhhhhh, it's a trade secret).
Car waxes (e.g. Turtle Wax) are more work, but do the trick too.
AND...did you know you can use nail polish to cover knicks in your paint?...
So true.
Women are waaay more critical of their bodies than men are...
Men are pretty much just happy if you are female and on a bike!
Ever have those great thoughts in the shower? :p
I was thinking about this thread after posting.
I was thinking how any woman who is willing to throw her leg over a bike and go out in public,...
Are you sure you're a beginner? ;)
When you said you wanted to ride the tire one more time I was just about to suggest that trick!
I hear ya on the wire beads!
It's not actually the bend, but what that bending of the knee does to women's legs. Let's face it; *most* (but certainly not all) women carry of bit of fat on the thighs (probably some function of...
Personally, I like Vredesteins. One of the best tires I've ever ridden in the wet and they seem to last forever. Retail is ~$40US per tire for folding (kevlar bead).
:(
Hope your day improves!
On the plus side, a new bike would make one terrific NZ "souvenir"!
Hehe...actually I was born and raised in San Diego
I think I just found my twin.... ;)
I'm curious as to why you gave up on the comfort road geometry (e.g. Trek Pilot line).
I *hate* to do virtual fittings (I'm a visual artist by training and think there is a visual side--as well...
Back to the original post...
Calories don't count if you eat standing up! Everyone know that. ;)
Actually I have a story...
My sister, who has always had a problem with her weight, was...
Oh yeah I love those "single serving" packages. :D
My personal "single servings" are Girl Scout thin mint cookies, frozen, (actually *two servings*) and Pringles Reduced Fat Original Flavor. Yep...
Another "no" vote for short shorts. I think if 90% of the women who wear them could see a back view while they pedal they would give them up. The bend in the knee while cycling is just, uhm, not very...
The Britsh National Cyclocross Championships are being broadcast on http://cycling.tv. Just click tv schedule and scroll until you see the listing (you can also watch Gorgeous George win KBK).
For...
You can catch a copy of the race on cycling.tv
:D
I've done the RAIN ride for the past 3 (4?) years.
Not sure if I'll do it in '05...I'd kind of like to try something new! :)
