H M D!!!
My name is George and I visit TE once or twice a month.
I shave my legs and I don't even race.
Mixtes make nice single speed or fixed gear conversions. As a guy, I would even ride one as a fixed gear for putzing around town.
There's nothing wrong with that.
Maybe so, but the chain will wear out under normal wear naturally than from prolonged and direct use of WD-40.
I use it to degrease my drivetrain.
I regularly ride up to the observatory and go down the other side, depending on which loop I'm taking, clockwise or counter-clockwise from my house in Echo Park. I do this on late Thursday...
I guess that's only for the ladies. I never get that when I'm out riding. :D
You don't need a T handled allen wrench. Just grab the allen wrench with a pair of pliers instead. :)
Now that is inexcusable. That is worse than getting a bad hair cut!
The easiest, fastest, and cheapest way to fix this is to simply splice in the necessary length of cable housing using a double ended ferrul. All you're doing here is adding additional length to your...
Well, with flip-flop hubs you can have it both ways....:p :D
If you want to convert this bike to a single speed (not fixed) at absolutely no cost, simply lock the front derailleur onto the middle ring, remove front derailleur cable and housing, remove the rear...
Actually, a lot of roadies do this, and most all mountain bike riders using clipless pedals do. Mountain bikers on technical terrain must be able to unclip out of either foot at moment's...
After you've mastered and feel comfortable clicking out of that same foot, try practicing using your other foot. You will eventually become proficient at using either foot to click out as you come...
I use white vinyl bike ribbon tape on a couple of bikes and I like them. I don't necessarily spend time keeping them looking like new. In fact, I prefer the slightly soiled look on most light...
Oh, then you must know about the dork disc and the term "flip it"?....:D
obsessive compulsive poseur :D
Removing wheel reflectors is the easiest and the most OCP thing anyone can do.
Yes, try turning the barrel out a couple of full turns and see/feel the difference. Don't worry, if it's not working, just undo the turns and set it back to where it was originally. No harm...
Good luck to all the long distance girls tomorrow.....especially to those doing the Hemet Double century and the Mulholland Challenge! ....Linda, Mary, Brandy, Karen, et al....:)
I would plant a gps device on the bike......oh, and the kid too.
FSA had interface issues in the past between crank arm and bottom bracket....mainly developing some play. Ask your mechanic about this.
Best bet is disconnect cable from derailleur and start from scratch. Also make sure the shifter itself is operating in its fullest range.
